Comfortable beds, stylish bathroom, delicious breakfast, direct access to swimming spot, helpful staff, great facilities.
Could not be improved in any way.

Fascinating building and the room was nice and clean.
Like most accommodation in Stockholm, it's quite pricey for what you get. And having to pay €20 for linen and towels on top of an already high price is frankly too much. It should be more clearly stated that linen are not included in the price. It's also quite awkward to get into and out of the top bunk bed. Some extra steps on the ladder and a proper handle on the bed would not hurt.

We had a fantastic stay at the hostel on Langholmen island! The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the unique prison-themed rooms were surprisingly well-designed and enjoyable. The bathroom was also very nice. We loved the authentic feel of the hotel, with the chic doors and old pictures showcasing its history. The restaurant exceeded our expectations, with a stylish setting and delicious food. The breakfast was especially memorable and became the benchmark for our entire trip. If we have the chance to return to this amazing place, we will definitely stay here again and plan to spend more time exploring the island and visiting the museum.
Nothing to mention. 😊

We had a great stay at Langholmen Hostel! The hostel is spotless, with cleaner rooms than some 5-star hotels we've stayed at before. The private bathroom in our room was larger than expected and the shower was great. The theme of staying in a renovated prison added a unique and interesting touch to our experience. The island of Langholmen is beautiful, with a mini beach and plenty of opportunities for leisurely strolls. The staff were faultless and provided excellent service. we highly recommend Langholmen Hostel for a totally different and enjoyable stay.

Prison atmosphere is interesting and we do learned a lot about this prison and its history. Price is OK in this expensive city and Underground station is in a walkable distance (20 minutes walk). Breakfast is fine.
Sorry for saying this, but personally did not feel we have got any service at all. Yes, it is a hostel instead of hotel, but it shall be a hostel instead of a real prison. The bed can be more comfortable and the toilet can smells better. Kitchen is OK but also worse than most of hostels I lived in. As the 1st floor is acting as museum as well, every morning I waked up and jumping from my cell to the toilet to wash myself I always found some visitors around me and watching me and this makes me feeling myself like in a zoo instead of prison. :) As I only settled in the 1st floor, what I saw might not be a completed truth. Thus my personal suggestion to the one who is going to book rooms in this hostel: please avoid living in the 1st floor at least, and try to book a room with private bathroom at least unless you feel like what I described above.

Staff was great. They were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was the best out of any hotel/hostel that we stayed at in Scandinavia (even better than much more expensive hotel chains). Though as with other reviewers, the greatest aspect of staying here comes from the novelty of the experience. Staying in an old Prison was awesome and made for an awesome story and great pictures. The bar/lounge was funny since there were tons of people dressed up in the prison outfits. It was out on a small island full of nature walks but was close enough to walk to the adjacent island for a good selection of restaurants to suite our needs. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Stockholm for a few days.

The staff at the hostel were friendly and helpful, providing advice on local sights and transportation. The bathroom was nicely remodeled and included amenities such as shower gel and a hair dryer. The room also had a combination safe, which was a convenient feature. Despite the downsides, the hostel did deliver on providing a clean and comfortable stay in a unique setting.
The rooms were extremely cramped and felt like prison cells. The beds were uncomfortable and the windows were too high, making the room feel dark and claustrophobic.

I liked the quirkiness of the hostel, it was very different and i found it exciting staying in an old prison. I love the fact that they have maintained the old prison. Especially the "cells". It was fantastic! It was also surrounded by beautiful countryside. Very cool!! :)

Tremendously great deal for the price, fairly centrally located.
The free internet is heavily blocked, and very slow.

The hostel had a cozy and intimate atmosphere which was perfect for our romantic escape. We loved the clean and well-equipped kitchen, allowing us to cook our own meals and save some money. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The location was great, with easy access to public transportation and a short walk to restaurants and cafes.
That there was no bar on the premises, so we couldn't have a nightcap without going out. the rooms were a bit small, but still comfortable enough for the two of us.

The novelty, really great idea for a hostel. Liked the spin of the prison as a hostel. Good prices and good accommodation.
The pillows.
